Barkme monitors the URLs and domains you ask it to. This policy explains what data that involves, why we hold it, and who we share it with.
01
What we collect
- Account details: your name and email address, supplied when you register or sign in with Google.
- Monitor configuration: the URLs and domains you add, check intervals, project names, and the notification channels you connect.
- Check results: HTTP status codes, response timing, and incident timestamps produced when Barkme pings your URLs.
- Billing: subscription state and identifiers from our payment processor. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Messages you send us through the contact form, and standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request time).
02
How we use it
- To run the service: schedule checks, open and resolve incidents, and deliver the alerts you configured.
- To send transactional email — verification, incident notifications, and billing receipts.
- To bill your subscription, prevent abuse, and debug problems you report.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
03
Third parties we share with
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with it, to authenticate your account.
- Our email delivery provider — to send transactional and alert email on our behalf.
- Slack and Telegram — only the channels you explicitly connect, to deliver the alerts you ask for.
- PayPal — to process subscription payments.
- Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.
04
Retention
- Account and monitor configuration is kept while your account is active.
- Check results and incident history are retained to power your dashboard and reporting.
- Delete your account and we remove your personal data, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
05
Your rights
- You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time from your account settings.
- For anything you can’t do yourself, reach us through the contact page and we’ll action it.
06
Security
- Data is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is restricted to the people who operate the service.
- No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you promptly.
